What is a Heat Tab or Heat Level Indicator? That is a round disk that is glued to a cylinder head surface to indicate that a cylinder head has been even slightly overheated. When the cylinder head temperature goes up to 250 to 260 degrees, the center will melt out. It does not mater that it may have been caused by a water pump, hose, radiator, etc. and you turned the vehicle off immediately. If that Heat Tab Melted, The warranty on most of our competitors Cylinder Heads IS VOIDED! We invite you to check other suppliers and read their warranty and if they have a core return required, They usually weld cracks and resell the heads. How To Use Our Website and Order Re-manufactured Cylinder Heads:

* 3. Scroll Down to the Liter Size of Your Engine. Most Makes Click on Liter Size of engine.

* 4. Locate the Re-built Cylinder Head for your Vehicle's Year and Match the Model, Casting Number and/or VIN Number (8th Digit). Most Imports VIN is Engine Number or Code.

* 5. Some pages have "Re-manufactured Cylinder Heads", "New Cylinder Heads", or "Performance Cylinder Heads" available. Click on the Link to go to the page with those heads listed.

* 6. Click on the cylinder head that matches yours. (You can enter your old heads casting number on the order form in the box provided so we can ship you the right head). Some Applications Had Many Different Casting Numbers available,(Too Many to List). ADC reserves the right to substitute comparable casting numbers for the cylinder head ordered as listed in the Engine Casting Number & Identification Guide. Please let us know in the "Additional Information" box if a substitute is not acceptable.
Hardened seats can be added to pre-1974 Re-built cylinder heads for a cost of $15.00 per seat on most older Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, GM and Jeep heads. (Go to Three angle valve job and Hardened seats page.)

Most people don't know the difference between Re-built and Re-manufactured Cylinder Heads
Many Cylinder Head Re-builders Only Re-build Their Cylinder Heads and Sell Them as Re-manufactured:

*Re-built is The Most Economical Type of Cylinder Head Offered Anywhere and this is the only type of heads most companies sell. That means that the head was reconditioned with used parts, parts that are still serviceable. ALL of our heads have NOT been welded or repaired. We Strive to maintain the highest quality of work possible with the latest equipment, New parts: valves, seats, spring, guides, cams, and any other parts have been installed when needed. All heads have a valve job done on a seat and guide machine,and then vacuum checked. Heads are surfaced and lightly painted to keep them clean. . (Some companies also weld and/or repair the cylinder head castings which is un-acceptable to ADC Cylinder Heads) See our page "Welding of Cylinder Heads" for more information on this subject. Most of the other companies that require a core returned usually repair damaged castings!

What you need to order a re-built, re-manufactured or new cylinder head:
1. Make of vehicle

2. Model

3. Liters or cubic inches of engine

4. year of vehicle

5. Eighth digit of the VIN number on Domestic Vehicles or The Engine code For All Import Vehicles

6. Casting Number on the old cylinder head (MOST IMPORTANT)Some heads of different casting numbers are interchangeable. We may send you a head with a different number if yours is not available.

7. Left (driver side) or Right (passenger side) head needed. Some motors are mounted sideways and you must look at the motor from the transmission side and choose Left or Right.

At ADC Cylinder Heads we try to pioneer new and different products and services for our customers and our products. We had been ask several times about a longer warranty than the standard 3 Year/50,000 Mile that is on All of our Heads. We responded by now offering a Labor Coverage Warranty Upgrade. We want to fill all the requests of our customers and this new Warranty Upgrade Program is now offered on our shopping Cart page. I know that many of you will take advantage of this new program that we don't know of any other cylinder head company that offers a labor warranty on re-built cylinder heads.

An ADC Warranty is a true guaranty that your Cylinder Head will serve you and your vehicle for years unlike MOST of our competitors which use "Heat Tabs" on ALL of their cylinder heads. A "Heat Tab" is glued to the cylinder head and if the actual temperature of the metal of the head reaches 260 degrees, the center melts out and voids their warranty in the "Heat Tab Cause" because Most of their Cylinder heads have been welded or repaired and WILL FAIL at a much lower temperature than a normal un-repaired head casting, Giving you No Real Warranty!
All ADC Cylinder Heads are warranted for what we say: "3 Years/50,000 Miles" And "NO HEAT TAB CLAUSE" to void the warranty.
